A Portrait – Wolfgang Lackerschmid

A Portrait is a 7-disc CD boxset produced by Dot Time Records celebrating Wolfgang Lackerschmid’s 70th birthday with music from throughout his decades-long career. With 7 individual CDs and CD sleeves, a 60-page booklet, and the box itself, this was a large design undertaking that involved many iterations and a lot of collaboration with the musician. There have been previous editions of A Portrait spotlighting other artists, so I had to ensure the design was cohesive not just with its individual pieces, but with the design of previous boxes. I kept the black-and-white theme, as well as the general layout of the box cover and back, but I had full creative freedom over the rest of the design.

The photos and cover were edited using Adobe Photoshop; the box, CD, CD sleeves, and booklet layouts were created using Adobe InDesign.
