Coverys Boston Showcase
Event Branding/Print Design
Description:
Coverys Boston Showcase
The Coverys Boston Showcase was a weekend-long event for Coverys business development representatives and select agents and brokers. The agenda included dinner outings, tours of Boston, and a seat at a semi-private suite on the course of the U.S. Open Golf Championship. My role was to create branded documents and signage for the event, as well as design the branded décor of the golf course suite. The branding for the entire event was a variation of the company’s general branding, meant to be special to the event while still following the look and feel of Coverys.
The slideshow above shows Coverys’ semi-private suite at the U.S. Open Golf Championship. I designed the wrap on the check-in desk (slide 1), decals on the drink rails (slides 2, 3, 4), decals on the high-top tables (slide 5); I also made the decision of what to include on the chair decals, if anything (slide 2). My intent for the suite was to make a clearly branded design that was light and airy for a hot summer day, as the event took place in June. I also wanted to make sure that the design was not overdone and abrasive; guests did not want to see the Coverys logo everywhere there was space to put it. I played with a look where all the pieces tied into one another as a seemingly continuous design. The check-in desk, the only fully black design, acted as the centerpiece as a means to draw the guests in and deliver an impactful first impression.
Below are several documents that were included in the welcome basket given to guests staying in the provided accommodations. The documents are (left to right, top to bottom): VIP Parking Pass Instructions, U.S. Open App Download Directions, Cvent Events App Download Directions, Welcome Letter from the CEO, and Coffee Pass Card. The last two documents in the slideshow are two pages taken from the U.S. Open Information Packet given to guests. The 7-page packet outlines the rules of the event, parking instructions, maps, a detailed agenda, and the history and facts of the U.S. Open Championship.
The last set of images are signs created for the entire weekend event. These signs were printed on large foam boards and/or 8.5 x 11 gloss paper and hung around the Coverys Boston office during the in-office portion of the Boston Showcase. The first sign (2′ x 3′) is what the guests saw right as they entered the lobby of the building, so it is bold and matches the check-in desk at the U.S. Open Suite (seen below). The second sign (2′ x 3′) was located by the entrance to the Coverys office space and led the guests to the check-in area. The last two signs (8.5″ x 11″; 2′ x 3′) are examples of the different types of signs hung around the building to guide guests who have never been in the building before.
