2D Animation
Description:
Animated Arctic Camel TED Talk
“Animated Arctic Camel TED Talk” is a 2D animation created as a collaborative effort between two of my class mates and me. The assignment was to edit together 2 minutes of any TED Talk and then create an animation to go along with it. The assets were created in Adobe Photoshop, animation created in Adobe After Effects, and the final composition put together with sound in Adobe Premiere Pro.
I was responsible for animating scenes 3 (0:45 – 1:14), Scene 5 (1:34 – 1:43), and scene 7 (2:03 – 2:16). I was also responsible for creating the following assets: all animal assets excluding the camel, llama, and alpaca heads from 1:14 – 1:34; the necessary mouth shapes for Natalia’s character (seen 0:55 – 1:13), the clouds and flying bird in scene 3, and the “poofing” cloud effect seen throughout the animation. Additionally, I contributed to initial ideation, storyboarding, and animatic creation, and edited together the scenes at the end and added sound effects. The original TED Talk can be found here.
